ABOUT THE ARTIST

To visually project what had once been contained behind one set of closed eyelids requires courage and, on occasion, disguise. This circus of colors and characters – the besotted mermaids, the playful carousel darlings – charmingly conceal the more complex and personal issues of love and life within their world of allegory. This protected world of symmetry and vibrant beauty allows for limitless exploration and growth, while a devoted love of drawing from observation firmly grounds it. The result is the shared delight of seeing the contents of the mind with eyes open.
